2018 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Vallocaia

Streamlined but very fruit driven in character, the 2018 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva Vallocaia strikes a good balance between power and elegance. This Riserva (made with 95% Sangiovese and 5% Colorino) offers good acidity and freshness with pretty aromas of rose, blue flower and wild cherry. Production is limited to 3,300 bottles.

2019 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano I Quadri

Made with 100% Sangiovese, the Bindella 2019 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano I Quadri shows a medium dark color with blackberry and darkplum. The wine ages in tonneaux for 18 months, and you certainly feel the spicy cinnamon and toast as a result, but perhaps those oak influences are most significant in terms of structure and mouthfeel. The tannins are chalky, and there is plenty of sweet fruit for balance (with a strong 15% alcohol content). This is a 10,000-bottle release.
